Happy Mother’s
Day
I hope you have a wonderful Mother’s
Day and you are celebrated in the way you
deserve. Thank you for all you do and often
is only seen by God. He appreciates how you
are taking care of His children and glorifying
Him in your love for them. I pray you know
what eternal work you are doing while changing
diapers, wiping runny noses, running to soccer
games, and listening to teen angst.
CWM is now on Facebook. Go to
www.facebook.com
and search for Christian Working Mom group.
You don’t need an invitation to join,
just go ahead and sign up. It would be neat
to actually see one another.

Article – The Secret
Recently a book was released called the Secret.
As Christians we have had the secret all along.
Listen to Philippians 4:11-13, “Not
that I am speaking of being in need, for I
have learned in whatever situation I am to
be content. I know how to be brought low and
I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance,
I have learned the secret of facing plenty
and hunger, abundance and need. I can do all
things through him who strengthens me.”
Because we have Christ in us
and His power we truly can learn to be content
in all circumstances. I’m afraid for
most of us we ride a roller coaster of emotions
based on our circumstances. Yet, Paul is telling
us due to the power of Christ that lives in
us we don’t need to ride the roller
coaster.
Consider the following equation:
Christ alone + nothing = More than enough.
One of my favorite songs is In Christ alone.
Sister CWMs if we put our hope and trust in
jobs, churches, pastors, husband, children,
etc. we will be let down. People our sinners
and they will disappoint, but God never disappoints.
When we put our hope and trust in people and
things then they become our idols. See Christ
alone is really more than enough. He can meet
all our needs and see us through all our difficult
circumstances. I know some of you may be going
through the hardest time of your life right
now maybe due to the economy, maybe a difficult
marriage, a difficult child, or you fill in
the blank. Yet, the Bible tells us Christ
is more than enough.
We need to pray daily that we
will live in Christ strength and not our own.
We can learn to be content in all circumstances.
We learn on a daily basis. We have not arrived,
but we continue with God’s help to learn
to be content.
If you are discouraged cry out
to God and share your deepest needs. Honestly,
say I don’t even know how to trust,
help me trust you and help me learn to be
content. Give me your strength to fight the
good fight, so when I get through this difficult
time you (God) can get all the glory and praise.
Dear sisters we have the secret.
Our secret is God is more than enough. We
don’t accomplish things in our strength,
but in His. Rest in His strength and learn
to be content in all circumstances.
Final Thoughts
The antidote when you are feeling down is
to praise God. When you remember all he has
done and his characteristics you begin to
feel lifted up.
Till next time,
