Welcome
Hello everyone! Has spring sprung where
you live? I realize for some of you it could be a
different season. We are having trees bud and allergies
in full bloom. I know as CWM’s it is hard to
get time for ourselves, but maybe a nice walk will
energize you and allow you to enjoy God’s creation.
Betsy thanks so much for taking time to be interviewed
today.
Blog
Please remember to visit the CWM blog,
when you get a chance. Often, people will post a question
and want some support. So, let’s help one another.
Please visit the blog and share your Easter traditions.
You can find the CWM blog at http://christianworkingmoms.com.blogspot.com.
Online Bible Study
I wanted to let you know of a change
being made to the Online Bible Study. We have had
numerous porn posts, so I changed the settings that
I have to review each post before it goes live. I
will try and check a couple of times a day. So, don’t
worry your post will be posted. I will just delete
all the inappropriate ones. Now, that being said I’m
going to be out of town a lot within the next few
weeks and will not have computer access. So, if I
don’t post your comment I promise I will get
to it. You can find the Online Bible Study at http://kimberlychastain.com/discussCWMU.
Are you tired? One of the things I think all CWM’s
could agree on is we are tired and at times overwhelmed.
I read a book a few years ago that really changed
my perspective. The book is entitled, “When
Women Long for Rest”. This book will encourage
you to rest in God. Click
here for more information.
Interview
Betsy is a 30 year old married CWM who
lives in the state of Texas in the United States.
She has a daughter, named Madelynn who is 2 ½
years old and a son Zachary who is 1 year old. Betsy
is a Property and Casualty Insurance Agent.
Betsy shares the following joys of being a Christian
Working Mom:
I have more appreciation for the time I have with
my kids.
My kids are learning early on the importance of sharing
and obeying someone else’s rules besides just
mine.
I have a place where I can interact with women who
are in my shoes or have already been there.
Betsy shares the following struggles of being a Christian
Working Mom:
When the kids are sick and you feel torn between work
and home. (Been there this week, Betsy!!) Also, trying
to juggle the balls of wife, mother, worker, and worshipper.
Unfortunately, somewhere, somehow somebody’s
ball gets dropped.
Betsy’s favorite Bible Verse is:
"Let us hold fast the confession of our hope
without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.
Hebrews 10:23"
Betsy is learning profound things from God right now.
She shares that if I could do it all on my own, I
wouldn’t need Him. That it is only when I turn
all the “balls” I am juggling over to
Him, that I will have my priorities straight. Being
a born organizer/planner it is hard for me to just
trust without worrying over everything from a big
project at work to the kid’s wardrobe for the
spring/summer season. But He is reminding me that
He said “Seek ye first the kingdom of God and
His righteousness, AND ALL THESE THINGS SHALL BE ADDED
UNTO YOU.” He cares about all the things I care
about. Even next season’s wardrobe!!
Betsy would like to encourage you fellow CWM to remember:
He’s Already Provided!! Trust!! Sounds Simple
yet, I am constantly coming back to that. Find a support
group of other women. Their experience, comfort and
prayers will do you a world of good.
Betsy also shares that she and her husband are a team.
She shares that none of this would be possible without
my husband. He helps in EVERY capacity around the
house. From bathing kids, to mopping floors he is
willing to do whatever. We work as a team and always
have.
I appreciate you sharing Betsy and reminding
us to trust God. He has been faithful in the past
and will continue to do so in the future. How simple,
yet very profound.
Till next time,
