Interview
Dolly is a 51 year old CWM who lives
in the US. She says she has been married 23 years
to her soul mate and best friend. She has four children
through marriage and adoption. Her children’s
ages are: 35 and 27 year old sons, 25 yr. old daughter,
and 6 yr. old son. She is also a Grammie to 2 boys,
4 yrs. old and 8 months old and a granddaughter age
3.
Dolly lists the following joys of being
a Christian Working Mom. God has blessed me with four
wonderful children through marriage and adoption;
that in itself has been one of my greatest joys. As
a Christian who works from home I have been to be
able to be home with my children and share my beliefs
with them, because of this they have come to know
Christ as their personal Lord and Savior at an early
age.
Dolly says the struggles of being a Christian Working
Mom are dealing with people who don’t believe
Christ belongs in the workplace. Time management is
another struggle I face daily. Not only do I run my
own business, I also home-school my youngest child,
care for my disabled husband, am an active member
of my church, and help run a ministry for acknowledging
Christ at work.
Her favorite Bible Verse is: Isaiah
41:10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be
dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you
and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous
right hand.
Dolly offers the following words of
Encouragement for other Christian Working Moms: God
is able to provide our every need, nothing is too
hard for Him. His love for us is unconditional and
His Word applies to us today just as much as it did
in Biblical times.
Dolly would also like to share the following:
After dealing with some negative comments about openly
proclaiming to be a Christian in my business, I became
frustrated and shared by frustration with another
Christian Working Mom who faced the same persecution.
We developed a site supporting Christians in the work
force, whether it is at a job or running their own
business. Here Christians will find many available
resources for both men and women to help support them
in their walk and encourage them to take a stand for
Christ. Through the development of the site I am learning
the battle is not mine, for He has already won the
victory. So when trials come, I don’t have to
face them alone and I don’t have to be discouraged,
because I know God is always going to be with me and
I know there are other Christians willing to take
a stand and let their voices be heard. www.actatwork.com,

Thanks Dolly for sharing today and reminding
us the God of Biblical times is the same God we serve
today. I pray www.actatwork.com
will be an encouragement to Christians in the workforce.
Till next time,
