Interview
Welcome
I hope everyone is not just surviving
the Christmas rush, but getting some much needed time
to reflect on the reason for the season. Sometimes it
is so hard to just stop and spend time with God, but
I encourage you and I to spend time thanking God for
the perfect Christmas gift.
I do need more Christian Working Moms
to interview. If you are interested send an email to
Kimberly@kimberlychastain.com
with interview in the subject heading and I will send
you the questions. Kathi thanks for so generously giving
of your time to be interviewed this month.
Blog Comments
I will be putting up 2 new blog questions
and would really like your input. One is sharing your
Christmas memories from when you were a child. The second
is letting me know where you live. I’m always
amazed that we have women from all over the world getting
this newsletter. I think it would be a great encouragement
to everyone to meet their sisters in Christ from all
over the world. CWM’s from the US you are not
left out. You might want to put what area of the US
you are from. One CWM has asked for help about her 7
year old son. So, please visit the blog and help one
another out. The blog address is http://kimberlychastain.com/my-journal.
Interview
Kathi is a 40 year old CWM who lives
in the United States. She is married and has 3 daughters
13, 4 1/2 & 2 1/2.
My joys of being a Christian Working Mom are: I'm a
Physical Therapist Assistant, I worked full-time until
I had my 2nd daughter and I now have the privilege of
working as needed. I fill in when patient caseload is
high, or a therapist has Vacation or Maternity leave,
etc. This works really well for me and my family right
now until I'm ready to go back to work full-time. I
love therapy and rehabilitating patients. I'm able to
spread God's word and witness the Lord's work (miracle)
first hand.
My struggles of being a Christian working Mom are the
same as every other CWM...I have to entrust my children
with a caregiver and leave them to go to work...and
of course, tending to the daily chores of keeping my
family and home well cared for. The days that I work
and then come home and cook dinner, do homework with
my oldest, bathe my little ones, etc...I'm asleep before
my head touches the pillow.
My favorite Bible verse: PSALMS 118:14
The Lord is my strength and my song; he has become my
salvation.
My words of encouragement for other CWM...know that
you're not alone. When I feel like I'm struggling, I
take a few moments out for myself. I'll listen to a
favorite song; paint my toenails; soak in a beautifully
fragranced bath; take the dog for a walk or read a verse
from my Bible. I consider this Mom "Me" time
and it's just for ME. Whatever it is find your Mom "Me"
time and enjoy every second!!!
I'd also like to share that I'm a member of Mothers&More
and I have a small home business of selling Artisan
jewelry...these help keep me connected to the outside
world and connected to Adult conversation. Find something
to help keep you connected.
Warmest Blessings, Kathi

Kathi thanks for reminding us the importance
of taking a few moments for ourselves. We are often
left off our to do list.
May I wish you a Merry Christmas and that
God’s gift will become even more precious to you
this Christmas season.
Till next year,
