Final Thoughts
Welcome
If you have children in school
then they are probably either in school or
getting ready to start school. Can I encourage
you to pray for your children at school and
for their teachers? Pray your children will
shine the light of Jesus to those who don’t
know Him. Several women recently have told
me about Bible studies they have started for
CWMs. Please let me know if you have started
one and how the Bible study has gone. Below
you will see a link to my new book The Voices
of Christian Working Moms. In the book a Bible
study is included. May CWMs all over the world
encourage and support one another.

Blog/Online Bible Study
Visit the CWM blog at http://christianworkingmoms.blogspot.com.
There are several new posts there. Please
come visit and make sure you share as well.
The online Bible study can be found at http://cwmbiblestudy.blogspot.com.
I plan to post a new lesson in September.
Virtual Prayer Partners
I have a CWM looking for a prayer
partner. If you are interested send an email
to Kimberly@kimberlychastain.com
with prayer partner in the subject heading.
I will then connect you with her. Over the
years I have heard wonderful reports from
CWMs and their prayer partners. Thanks in
advance for your help.

Interview
I appreciate Amy taking time
to share with us this month. Let’s get
to know her better. Amy is 26 and lives in
Pennsylvania in the United States. She has
2 boys ages 5 and 2 and another precious gift
from God is due in February 2010. Amy has
been married for 8 years and she is a Client
Care Coordinator for a Home-Care Agency.
Amy loves interacting in the workplace with
other CWMs. She also loves the perspective
that being a Christian in the workplace gives
her. Amy says she seeks every opportunity
to be a good example of Christ’s love
to our clients and my coworkers.
Amy shares the following struggles
as a CWM: I often struggle to find purpose
in my work when I feel that my heart is really
at home. I find it so much easier to feel
satisfied when I’m with my kids and
accomplishing things at home. I know, however,
that this job and this stage in my life is
only one step in God’s plan for me and
that I can make a big impact if I do every
aspect of my job “unto the Lord”.
I need to not lose faith in God’s planned
outcomes for my life even when I find it hard
to feel satisfied where I am.
Amy’s favorite Bible Verse is: Joshua
1:9 - Have I not commanded you? Be strong
and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not
be discouraged, for the LORD your God will
be with you wherever you go.
Amy says God has been teaching her patience
and he is strengthening my faith every day,
drawing me closer in my relationship with
Him. Unfortunately, I’ve been taught
this lesson through several hardships recently
and after much questioning I’ve returned
to my faith for comfort and encouragement.
Amy shares these words of encouragement for
other Christian Working Moms: Don’t
compartmentalize. You are not the only Christian
mom in the workplace. Your faith can be the
basis for many great relationships and can
help you serve as an example for many.
Amy says she is currently a working mom supporting
my husband while he is finishing his undergraduate
degree. I am thankful to have an opportunity
to solely support my family financially while
my husband works toward his dreams.
Amy thanks for reminding us
that we need to do all things “unto
the Lord”.
May God continue to give you strength through
your pregnancy.
Final Thoughts:
Ask your children how you can
pray for them. You might get some surprising
answers. Also, pray for God to lead you as
a parent. May all we do glorify Him.
Till next time,
